I LOVE little adventure stories like this, Sue. So much emotion in so few words. Somehow you grabbed me, threw me onto a tube and dragged me kicking and quaking down that river with you. I am such a coward...
Then it's a good thing you didn't go with me down the Truckee River. I fell off the raft and couldn't get back on. My feet were dragging through gravel and once I rammed into a hidden tree branch. That was fun. By the end of it, my water socks were in shreds and I grabbed onto the arm of a young raft employee who helped me to shore. There was about three inches of water I had to walk through and if it wasn't for that young man's strength, I would've been swept off my feet. It was bizarre. He said the current was much stronger that summer and they'd had a lot of mishaps that year. That made me feel a little less like an invalid.
Oh Sue, this is wonderful! What fun!
Something in your story took me there! Thanks Sue.
Fun!!
We used to have a family reunion in Boise every year and the first event was always floating the river! I always love reading your work, Sue!
Thank you, Jason. It's interesting to see all the projects you are exploring. Hope all is well and moving forward for you and yours.
Been there, did that, Sue. In fact, my kids floated the Boise river last weekend.
It’s still a big thing.

YIKES!!
How fun! What an adventure! You were quite brave to get into that tube, but that waterfall drop must have been thrilling! Good for you!
The waterfall was only about a meter tall but yes, it was scary at the time for a little girl.
Good! We used to tube down the frigid Guadalupe River in Texas. So fun!
