Wow, Sue, this is a tremendous post! Cogent and sure-footed, each word exactly in the right place. I love how it moves from the specifics of your husband’s situation to the broader working of Spirit in our lives.

I wish I had a better feeling for moon energy. I find it overwhelming. I used to hold my palm to the full moon, but I got burned doing that. Now I just admire from afar.

Thank you for your kind critique. I'll post that one on my wall to keep me going.

Also, it's interesting to me that you once had to hold your palm to the full moon but you got burned. Apparently you, indeed, have a great feeling for moon energy. You might even say you allergic to its power. Light affects us in different ways. I'm solar powered and need to see if not sit in the sunlight to boost my mood and energy a bit. Otherwise, I get depressed. I could never live in the Northwest, no matter how lush and beautiful it is. I once met a young man, though, who is allergic to sunlight. He lives for and in the night, working indoors when the sun shines. I said he must be a vampire, and he replied, "That's about it." Thank you for your personal take on the moon's power. You've proven my point. Hope this winter weather, though, isn't keeping you cooped up too much. Your story about the power being off brings back crazy memories and scenarios.

Here in the rain-soaked PNW, we've reached that part of the winter where the clouds let up at night and the Moon is the only source of solar light we clearly see. Last night there was glorious circular rainbow around it as it shone through the thinning clouds. A magical sight indeed.

Happy to hear that serendipity looked kindly upon you and your husband.

Full moons and wolves. Another thing I miss from Northern MN. Wolves DO howl at the full moon. It's especially nice on a summer evening in the BWCA when there will be one pack answering another far away from each other.

MN, where there is the national wolf center in Ely.

ID, where they shoot them 😠😡
