I don't know if or how your deafness would affect your being a tutor. I just happened to be familiar with Spanish, but a literacy or ESL program would show you ways to teach English to the many different non-English-speaking people out there. Go to your local library and see if they have or know of a program in your area. Then check out the program and go from there. You may just find a place in the tutoring world. Good luck.
