I’m not sure “like” is an appropriate response, so thank you.

I remember that event, which occupied some of my high school brain space along with a vicious little civil war in a place I knew I would never visit called Rhodesia, until I moved there.

Maybe someday, we will become wise and good, and those things won’t be part of our kids brain space.

Unfortunately, ever generation has their "war." Our children have scary things to deal with right here at home and it worries the hell out of me and my daughter. We've been seriously considering home school, which we did with her, or private school. Beyond that, though, I hope we've taught my grandchildren how to hold their own and be resilient, no matter what happens in their world.

We homeschooled our kids and they aren’t even featured on the post office most wanted lists.
