Can Americans regain the positive lessons learned from COVID lockdown to help us deal with the chaos we are experiencing as fascism destroys our country's soul.?
"...we must never forget the way people were exposed to a killer virus and our leaders used fear to press us into submission." Fear is a powerful motivator in any crisis ( or non-crisis). Our leaders use (have used) it very effectively, but they are not the only influencers or fear-mongers we are subjected to. Right? Vigilance, folks.
At our (advanced) ages, my family have learned to keep in touch with the five square miles around our homes, where we have some influence. It is enough territory to monitor.
It is indeed. I've narrowed my sphere to the upper third of our acre where the house and backyard gardens are. My main concern there is keeping the squirrels out of the bird feeders and supplying the birds with good suet seed. At least for winter. Oh, and the grandkids. Anything else is somebody else's business.

Exactly. Vigilance ... always. And learn to deal with it positively in one's own sphere of influence.
