Congratulations. I only found you several months ago but have enjoyed reading your stories because they have brought back many memories of my own. I have decades of writing down my own life but know i will never post anything. I did tell one niece that after i die it's something that will just get thrown away as "who will want to read them?" She said she will. Good luck to her trying to read my cursive 😆 These go back to 1984 when i launched my 29' sailboat Crystal Dawn.

I've led an adventurous life with my travels including being a live aboard sailor in boats I built myself.

Thank you, Bob. I'm glad you've enjoyed my writings. So what makes you think people wouldn't enjoy reading about your sailing in self-made boats and other adventures. This continually urbanizing world of ours is closing in on us. We substitute real life with AI. Reading about a real person having real adventures is precious. Get the computer gassed up and start transcribing those memories of yours.

Why will you never post? why write if you can’t share it? Why love if you can’t share it? Why build boats if you don’t love the water and write about that love? I think you should let Substack be your next adventure.

Indeed. Bob even if you think you're too old, our senior years are the best time to write because we have so much material to dive into and the perspective to make it shine. And thank you, Fran, for your insightful observations during your daily outings. Bob! Fran and I are both a couple of little old ladies, but we're not letting our limitations stop us. If anything, they give us incentive to march boldly toward that keyboard and let 'er buck.

Truthfully, i really don't know why. Probably just laziness 😴🙄

Bob, the only bad stories are the ones that don’t get shared!

Thanks for finding me, Sue! Out here in the Great Basin, it’s always nice to hear a friendly “hey neighbor, stop by for a visit!”

Congrats on a year of sticking with it. I used to brag that I could put up with anything for eight hours, but I was talking about airliner seating. If you can keep up your writing for a year, you can keep it going for the rest of your life. As far as a weekly schedule, you are more organized than me. Sometimes I get on a roll and will drop two or three a day. I’m like the old guy in the doctor office scene in Rainman who keeps rambling on about the Pony Express like some kind of human white noise generator.

After reading about how you lost a reader because of a story about an elderly couple’s suicide pact, you reminded me of a similar story I wrote. I wonder how many people dumped me after I posted it? https://switters.substack.com/p/blizzard-1946

Congratulations, Sue, on DOUBLE Substack milestones! A year and a hundred - accomplishments to be proud of. Thank you, too, for the mention, and for the time you spend poking around over here at 🌿Leaves. It is, as you say, a fine community to be a part of.

Thank you, Sharron. I've enjoyed it all, especially your short-shorts ... truly a tricky endeavor to stir the readers' imaginations with hints of what's around the main plot. Well done!
