Two Poems and a Movie Review
Look around, whether you're urban or rural, and notice the tiny dramas just outside your windows. Also, a 100-word review of Twisters.
Grant me the time
to walk each day as the world goes about its business to spot a Cooperโs hawk pluck a serving of sparrow from the air to yip at Coyote, confusing him only for a moment before he trots away in search of mice the grass is much higher after that freak snowstorm it glitters with a deeper hue thereโs a patch thatโs crushed where the deer slept all these goings-on within the hours of a day and night. Grant that I may watch and behold someday the sacred fleeting glimpse of Cougar slipping past a break in the trees During my wanderings from office to kitchen to bedroom I spot a pair of marmalade ears just beyond the window sill edging closer on tip-toe, I watch the neighborโs manx scan the bush where he stalks food meant for Coyote I tap the glass and send him bounding through wildflowers and sage.

Flash on the Roadside
Driving past new houses Grass dying in mid-summer glare Heat cancelling the air conditioner A truck kissing my bumper As a list of chores races Across my scattered brain I almost miss it. Brilliant yellow beaming face radials circle a seedy core upon a single stalk that defies the hardened earth. Sunflower!
Review of Twisters in One Hundred Words
Man meets woman, both of whom follow ancient ways as well as modern technology. Their minds open while hearts remain closed until just the right key opens hers. New faith in her past dreams blossoms into a strong partnership between them. Shifting gears and loyalties, an alliance slips upon its misguided path to glory, until the epiphanies collide amidst the tempest storm. Partners without a kiss or a rambuctious tumble in bed. How refreshing that the fierce winds blew the old templates of romance away. Sex can be so distracting when there's so much at stake between lovers and friends.

Book Review:
"Ghost in The Forest" is a great read! Take note People. If you love stories about environmentalism and nature, its clash with urban mindsets, as well as personal transformation, this is the book for you!
Two really enjoyable poems (though the drama wasn't tiny for the sparrow) and a fine review. Makes me want to see the movie. Thank you, Sue
