Your description of the long distance relationship was spot on and I related to 100% of it. Good one. I want to know what happens!

Alas, the story from there is quite mundane. Ryan finds the note and finds her in the pub. After they both finish their Guinesses, they go home, make love, and go on with their lives. Like I said, some things are worth waiting for. 😁

Aww, I love the easy, comfortable way you unfolded this story, Sue. You sat me right down on a stool next to you. I could feel and smell that tavern, hear the men's conversations, taste the thick head of the ale. Something tells me this story is more than a little autobiographical.

Wanda is a very patient and respectable lady. I didn't know it took so long to pour a pint of Guinness. Haha. But this was a perfect detail since it falls right in line with her nature. What a wonderful read, Sue.

Ah, the ‘stalwart heft’ of a pint of Guinness - I know it well!

A terrific tale beautifully told, Sue. Loved it!

A loaf of bread in every pint. Glad you liked it, Rebecca. It's one of my favorites, too.
